Owner of this blog is deceased!

Sorry for any inconvenince to followers of this blog but the owner of this blog is deceased! 29th of a November, 1918.

Probably my last personal statement!!

Kia Ora Kautou, to everyone reading this, please endure in my message to you! Christians came to New Zealand for a purpose, they didn't come to eat their lunch. Although the Christians came to preach the word of the lord, it wasn't easy to teach what God wants preached, they had to go through many days or weeks by foot and enter areas or tribes where they most likely didn't feel comfortable. Now that goes to show how they put themselves on the line for Christianity! My last statement is that without Maori culture and christianity, we wouldn't be able to God how much we love him in our own way so if it wasn't for those catholic preachers, those maori people and those who believe in God, we wouldn't have such an amazing spirituallity!

28th of November - 1818

I don't feel good, I think I've got the flu. If I do die, please remember that Christianity is very important to us all, whether your maori or not, God wants the best for us, well the best for all. Anyway just know that God will always be here in times of need! Kakite ano whanau, peace and love to all!!

Inside the Treaty Of Waitangi!

Treaty Of Waitangi!

It's 1840 now and Bishop Pompallier has been doing some good work and making wonderful mission stations. Today, most of us are going to the Treaty Of Waitangi and I don't know whether Hone Heke is going to sign it, getting rather worried but anyway, I hope we get Catholic Rights for New Zealand because I don't want to be an anglican! Kakite ano!!

I found it!

I found this painting of Bishop Pompallier in my glory box. Tumeke!

Bishop Pompalier Arrives!!

It was 1838 and I saw the french boat arrive and out walked Bishop Pompalier. We walked and talked about eachother and this is what I know - In 1802, he was born in France. In 1823, he went to a seminary in Lyon/ France at the age of 22. He was ordanied as a priest on the 13th of June, 1829. He was very close to the Society of Mary and especially Father Jean Claude Colin. In 1836 he was consecrated.

Now I know you want to hear about the amazing events that happened back in my day, so lets get started!

Kia Ora Koutou, welcome to my blog, come and read my journeys from the early church days!
